Hee J. Jo
Hee J. Jo (b. 1987) is a Korean Canadian artist based in Mississauga, Ontario. Her abstract work is inspired by nature and life across different scales, from the human body to the universe. Using organic forms and layered compositions, she explores ideas of connection, change, and balance. Feminism quietly informs her practice, shaping how forms relate to one another rather than appearing as a direct narrative. Through abstraction, Jo creates visual spaces that reflect the interdependence of human life, the natural world, and larger systems beyond individual experience.
